Personally, I am not a big fan of Jaguar's or their Aston line-up (besides the amazing One-77)... but I spotted a black Aston Martin DBS convertible in Downtown Lafayette. Thus, I was drawn in and curious about this car, so I decided to do some research on it...
The DBS is equipped with a fat V12 engine that has 510 horses and 420 pounds of torque. This allows it to accelerate from a dig to 60 mph in about 4.3 seconds. The Aston comes with a 6-speed manual transmission for the true sporty feel or a 6-speed automatic transmission for more laid back cruising.
Like any other 2+2 seater, there are small bucket seats in the back for small children or even your dog... okay, maybe not your dog.. perhaps your bags could just rest in them. The new base-model DBS coupe has an MSRP of $275,861. Anyways, no sane person would pay $276,000 for a family car. Keyword. Sane.
Oh, and it turns out this car was shown in the 2006 James Bond film Casino Royale. Why am I suddenly tempted to rent that movie? ;)
